Happy holidays, TuTiTu fans! Are you feeling the holiday spirit yet? Whether or not you celebrate Christmas in your home, you must already be noticing the decorative lights, the pines everywhere, even the cheerful songs in the supermarket.

After breakfast and the opening of the presents, Christmas day is usually spent at home with the family. One of our favorite holiday traditions here at TuTiTu is having a special movie marathon with the kids! There are so many films to choose from, but we’re here to help: here is our list of top 5 Christmas films to watch with the family this holiday – all animation themed, of course!

5. The Polar Express (2004)

This fantasy film showcased some amazing animation work a decade ago and won the hearts of parents and children alike. The production used a unique live-action performance capture technique to really give the characters that human touch. The Polar Express really does cover all the bases: it’s got snow, it’s got Christmas, it’s got hot chocolate… and oh, yeah, it’s got Tom Hanks!

4. The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992)

Put away those new Muppet films that have been popping out in recent years – this is the real thing. Thought this one’s not strictly animation, we couldn’t leave it out of the list (it’s not entirely made with human actors either so it sort of counts!) It’s fun, it’s hilarious and it’s got Michael Caine and Kermit the Frog in the same frame. What else could you possibly need?

3. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

Now an animation film to watch with the older kids in the house – one that the adults probably remember fondly too. Tim Burton’s imaginative and inspired film gives the audience a new take on the holiday spirit and the familiar story of finding out what Christmas is really about. And the best part of all is the music! Or maybe the love story. Or the humor? Oh, all of them!

2. A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)

The famed Peanuts Christmas movie is a true classic. It featured the beloved Peanuts gang, including Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and of course… Charlie Brown. Together they try to find the true meaning of Christmas, all wrapped in nostalgic old-school 2D animation. Gotta love it!
